This lifting sling is for manual lifting when mechanical lifts are not available
- Great manual lifting Sling
- Slippery, breathable material
The lifting sling is great where sometimes it is not possible to use a mechanical lifting hoist when away from home. Some examples could be going on a picnic, going to the beach, lifting people into boats, or even going camping. The Handi Sling will help open new horizons to enable people to be more active in many ways, without the necessity of having a mechanical hoist to lift them.
The Handi Pads are an optional extra. They attach to the webbing straps with Hook & Loop Tape. Using them make lifting the straps much more comfortable.
Safe Working Load: 200kg / 440lbs
Important info about the lifting sling
When designing this Sling we were very mindful that it is against Manual Handling principals to manually lift people. Before using, a risk assessment should be undertaken , including weight and cooperation of the Client and the ability of the Carers. Any instructions, suggestions, or Videos are purely a guide. Manual Handling Trainers knows the abilities of the people doing the lift and the person being lifted. They may alter our suggestions to suit the Carers and person being lifted.
If the lifting sling is left under the patient for some time it may be necessary to use a Lap Belt that is attached to the chair, as the patient may move and slip on the sling material. Some standard Pelican Belts are Lap/Shoulder Strap Belt, Lap/Shoulder Strap Belt Hook & Loop Tape Fastening.
